It’s all about a vision. What story do you want your photograph to tell? Or do you want to look at it and bring back the memories associated with it? This is our blog. Check back here and see what we have to talk about.
What is a photographer?
When I first began taking photos I thought, "this is what a photographer does, they take photos." I mean, they have the fancy cameras, the expensive lens, the light meter, multiple flash and all the other equipment professional photographers carry. So, they take amazing pictures, right? Wrong! The job of a photographer, especially one that shoots people, is to capture a moment in time as an image. When a person, let's say a bride, looks at the photo, she is instantly transported back to that minute. When she looks at the picture of her 1st kiss as a married woman, her senses kick in. Maybe not all five, but she will remember the way it felt to be held in his arms, the way his cologne smelled, the touch of his lips on hers and the sounds of joy and celebration as their family and friends cheer and applaud. Then, on her 50th wedding anniversary, when she looks at that same photo, there she is, back in that moment on her wedding day. This is the true job description of a portrait and wedding photographer. This is also one of the core values of Vaughn Wood Professional Photography. Our images should involve your senses. So, come along with us and let us create those moments for you.
